Inconsistency of
Green Bay Packers Costs Them Their 2008 Season
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is happy with how his team is performing in the 2008 season. He is
looking forward to more wins in the next few games his team will face. Although largely inconsistent for most of
the 2008 season, the Packers still have a chance to stay within the needed quota for NFC North lead. It can be said
that the team is in desperate need for a win or else they will stay on a life support for the remaining weeks of
the season.
The Packers, a team who ran away with the 2007 division title with a 13-3 record is now suffering because of an
on-off personality it has shown this season. The members of the team are also frustrated with how they have
performed this season. They recognize the fact that there are times when they go out in the field to dominate but
there are also times when they get dominated by other teams. Because of this, all efforts are put into to be more
consistent on the positive side and put a strong performance every time the team is out on the field.
The ups and downs of the team wasn't evident until Week 9 of the NFL calendar. Bouncing back from a loss, the
Packers showed their fans a complete performance by beating the Bears in the Lambeau Field. Then another
outstanding performance against the Saints. Head coach Mike McCarthy acknowledges the 5-6 record show that his team
is really experiencing some lull in performance and is due to the inconsistencies in their play.
Aside from inconsistencies, McCarthy recognizes that the Green Bay Packers isn't really performing at their best
which is why they do not have the standing that they want. Disappointment in their plays is evident and their
management team knows this. Coach McCarthy is tired of telling his team of how disappointing this season has been
but he also realizes that the Packers are really working hard during practices. However, he is baffled why despite
excellent practice sessions, the team does not perform well in the field.
Injured players could be causing the team its standing but all is assured that in the next few games, they will be
playing well. The Packers have to work hard and win in the next game to vie for the NFC North title which is their
only way to get to the playoffs. But quarterback Rodgers is very confident with his team because he knows that his
teammates are very talented and has great characters.
Further, Rodgers believes that if they just put their hearts into the game, they have a pretty good chance to get
into the playoffs. The road may be slim but as long as there is a chance, the Packers will make the most out of the
abilities to win the necessary games they need to win to clinch the division title. The Green Bay Packers is not a
team to mess up with because they might be inconsistent with their plays which can surprise their opponents when
they actually face each other in the field.
