Will the Arizona Cardinals Make it to the Playoffs?

It seems that the Arizona Cardinals have done their job in this season's games. Now, professional football in the desert have become a tough competition. The Cardinals are on their way to getting a division title, an achievement they have not had for the past 33 years of their franchise. The next five weeks through the games are very crucial for the team to be able to clinch the division title.

The team's past games showed that they have indeed played great football against really outstanding teams in the NFL. They have proven themselves to be able to step up to the challenge of their intimidators. Every game in the league is a big game for the Cardinals because they still have a lot to show to their fans. Thanks to Coach Whisenhunt, the team is slowly straying away from the label of being the greatest losers in NFL history. They are actually in a really good position to get into the playoffs.

The team's last division title dates way back 1975 when they were still called the St. Louis cardinals. The next year that their presence was felt in the playoff series was when they made it as a wild card in the 1998 season. With the recent favorable events, Whisenhunt attributes this largely to the environment that they have created which he greatly believes has become really tough every time the games are brought back home.

Apart from this, the team's quarterback, Kurt Warner, is given credit for the recent success of the Arizona Cardinals. Warner is known to be really tough and competitive on the field. He has continued to wow fans by setting his fourth consecutive record of a 300 yard pass by doing a 395 yard pass during the games against the Seahawks. Whisenhunt realizes the importance of Warner's presence in his team because the latter acts like the holding glue of the team which makes them more motivated and cooperative with each other.

Over time, the team has improved significantly in terms of confidence and togetherness. In the field, this is observed because the players know that they can count on each other during tough situations. Becoming closer as a team has improved their performance immensely. Teamwork was one of the lacking areas of the Cardinals before but now that they are slowly getting the hang of it, all we can do is wait and see how teamwork can change the tides.

The division is not yet over and the Cardinals still have a lot of challenges to face. Nevertheless, they are on the right side of the boat and have become the odds-on favorite to win the west division of the NFC. But nothing is final yet unless they go on to win the next few games which will make them qualify for the playoffs. The task bears heavily on both Whisenhunt and Warner, but this shouldn't be that difficult to accomplish if the team is really set out to make history again.
